Woman's Cats Come to the Rescue When the Toilet Paper Runs Out

It's a fact of life that your cats (and dogs) are going to follow you into the bathroom. Why not give them something to do?

Papaya is a British shorthair who lives with her mom and sibling Banana, and mom loves to upload cute clips of the kitties getting into shenanigans on their YouTube channel. In this clip, we see mom making the most of their time together in the restroom, and while we can't say this is an efficient way to spend your time, it does give the cats a job.

"When your cats always follow you to the washroom," the video caption reads as we get a POV glimpse of the family all walking into the bathroom together.

"So you finally gave them a job," the caption concludes, punctuated with a clown emoji for extra comedic effect.

We watch as mom spins an empty toilet paper roll -- never what one wants to see after concluding your bathroom business -- just before the camera pans up to show Papaya and her sister delicately sporting fresh rolls of toilet paper around their necks like decorations.

Of course the curious kittens come to mom's aid when she calls for their help! They'll get lots of good praise and pets, and mom gets the toilet paper she so desperately needs.

"Catoilet Paper Services by Papaya & Banana," one commenter writes.

"Doing this immediately, my Deity follows me everywhere," another laughs.

It feels weird at first, having a cat follow you as you engage in what is generally a dirty but necessary task. It's a private moment, but cats don't seem to mind. Why are they so set on following you while you do your business?

Cats don't have the same pack reputation dogs have earned, and yet they still see you as an integral part of their social hierarchy. They like to be a part of your activities, even if it's not the most glamorous part of your day.

More than that, though, cats like to know they've got your full attention, and you're not going anywhere when you're sitting on the commode!

Besides, bathrooms have a lot of smells and cats like to know what you're up to even when they can't see you. All of this intrigue leads them to push open the door and peer inside. They are famously curious creatures, after all.

If you get the bright idea to tie some toilet paper to your cat's collar with a ribbon, we wouldn't expect it to work out as well as it does with Papaya and Banana, but they might look super cute -- unless they rip it all off!
